Trump says he'll explain "the reasons these Candidates won and lost" after Democratic midterm gains

After Democrats won key congressional and state races in the midterms and the Associated Press projected Democratic control of the Senate, President Donald Trump said on Truth Social that he would begin offering commentary on why candidates succeeded or failed. He had earlier posted that he was not on the ballot and that Republicans would have won overwhelmingly if he had been. In an early Wednesday Fox News call, Trump congratulated Democrats, said the results were not a personal rebuke, and blamed Republican losses on the party’s candidates. The remarks came as Trump was addressing an election in which Democrats made gains in several states, and they centered on his explanation of individual candidates’ outcomes.
