Donald Trump says Republicans "would have won IN A LANDSLIDE!" in midterm election

After media projections and Associated Press calls showed Democrats winning both the Senate and House in the Nov. 3 midterm elections, Republican President Donald Trump acknowledged the results while disputing that they were a verdict on him. In a Fox News interview, he credited Democrats with campaigning effectively and said he did not regard the outcome as a personal blow. In a separate Truth Social post, Trump noted he was not a candidate in the election and suggested Republicans would have fared differently if he had been. Democratic control of Congress could constrain his agenda during his last two years in office and give Democrats broader oversight tools, including subpoena power and the ability to conduct impeachment trials.
