Donald Trump says Fox polls are "terrible" and tells network to get "a good pollster"

After Republican losses in the 2026 midterms, Donald Trump blamed Fox News, saying in a Truth Social post that the network was at fault for airing Democratic opponents, according to the article. During Fox’s election coverage, he called in to Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum and challenged the network’s polling that showed him unpopular; Baier responded that the returns were close to those surveys. Trump also told the New York Times that he was not on the ballot and that this kept turnout lower. The remarks came as Republicans weighed defeats in red states and districts they had redrawn to favor conservatives; a Texas Republican lobbyist told the BBC that responsibility lay with Trump alone.
