JD Vance says Stephen Miller is "an amazing patriot" after Trump names him chief of staff

After Republicans lost both chambers in Tuesday’s midterms, President Donald Trump elevated White House deputy chief of staff for policy Stephen Miller to be his chief of staff, a move that drew criticism from several House Republicans; some blamed Miller’s immigration enforcement role for the party’s losses and said he should be fired, according to Fox News Digital. Trump called Miller a trusted adviser and predicted he would do well. White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis defended Miller’s record, citing border security, crime and deregulation work. Vice President JD Vance endorsed the appointment, saying Miller will succeed, and thanked Susie for her contributions to Trump and the country.
