Meta has released Muse Spark 1.1, its latest AI model and the second product from Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL) under chief Alexandr Wang. The model, described by the company as a major improvement over its predecessor, introduces a paid developer tier with pricing that Mark Zuckerberg said would be “very aggressive.” According to Bloomberg, Zuckerberg claimed the new model achieves “state-of-the-art or very close to it” performance in agentic reasoning and tool use, and he suggested Meta’s models could now surpass Google’s. The launch follows Meta’s planned $145 billion in capital expenditure, much of it for AI, and a reported push into cloud computing. Despite 33% quarterly revenue growth, employee morale is reportedly low due to pressure from the company’s AI ambitions.
