“Well, you know, when we have time”
A recent YouGov poll conducted for Sky News Pulse from July 7–14 shows Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s overall net approval rating slightly improved but remains negative at -18 percent, driven by a sharp gender split. After appearing on the *Bush Deep* podcast, where he engaged in explicit jokes—including comments about Kylie Minogue and a crude remark about Japanese leader Sanae Takaichi—Albanese’s net satisfaction among male voters rose nine points to -16 percent, while among women it dropped three points to -19 percent. During the interview, when asked about his intimate life with his wife, he gave a lighthearted reply indicating such matters occur only when they have the opportunity, adding that a win by his favorite rugby team serves as an aphrodisiac. The controversy drew criticism from Coalition lawmakers alleging misogyny, and Labor’s primary vote slipped slightly, though Albanese still leads as preferred prime minister and Labor would maintain government if an election were held now.
