Billionaire investor Warren Buffett has ended his donations to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, a shift that comes after newly released Justice Department files reignited scrutiny of the Microsoft co-founder’s past associations with Jeffrey Epstein. Bill Gates, who has not been accused of any crime, told Congress in June that he had not fully grasped the severity of Epstein’s offenses when they met and discussed possible charitable work. Gates has repeatedly said he regrets any involvement with the late financier, denied spending time with Epstein’s victims, and stated he never witnessed illegal behavior. The Gates Foundation did not comment. Buffett instead donated roughly $6 billion in Berkshire Hathaway stock to his four family foundations, which will receive his remaining shares by 2034.
