Donald Trump says U.S. strikes are "ending any chance" Iran can develop a nuclear missile

After nine consecutive nights of U.S. military strikes against Iran, President Donald Trump told reporters Sunday that the campaign is eliminating any possibility of Iran developing a nuclear missile. Speaking after attending the World Cup final, Trump said the U.S. had inflicted severe military damage, leaving Iran with limited missiles, drones, and manufacturing capacity. He stated the strikes were conducted in honor of three U.S. service members killed in Jordan and Iraq. U.S. Central Command said the attacks aim to degrade Iranian capabilities used to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian media reported explosions in Tabriz and two strategic port cities. The ongoing operation follows recent Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks that killed two U.S. troops in Jordan.
