Donald Trump: "located next to, or in, the Capital City of Tehran"

US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that any Iranian attack on vessels in the Strait of Hormuz would prompt American bombing of Iranian infrastructure, including bridges or power plants near or inside Tehran. The warning, posted on his Truth Social platform, covered attacks by missile, rocket, drone, or other weapon and did not distinguish between US-flagged ships and others. The Strait of Hormuz is a critical chokepoint for global crude oil and liquefied natural gas shipments. Disruptions there could affect transport costs, energy prices, and supply chains, with India especially reliant on Gulf crude imports.
