The conflict, a joint operation with Israel that began February 28, has now killed 18 American troops and is in its fifth month with no clear end, according to reports. A Washington Post-Ipsos poll found 68 percent of respondents view the war as not worth fighting, though Trump has claimed otherwise. Democratic Senator Tammy Duckworth, a veteran who lost limbs in Iraq, blamed Trump for starting the war without a plan and said the deaths rest on his leadership. Over 100 troops have also been injured since July 7, information the Pentagon reportedly withheld for nearly two weeks.
