Donald Trump says "major military punishment will be inflicted upon Iran" on Iran and Houthi attacks

President Donald Trump responded on social media by stating that Tehran would be held responsible for any further Houthi actions and warned of severe retaliation. He also told Axios he was close to deciding whether to resume major combat operations against Iran. Iranian officials, in turn, asserted that Trump’s threats only strengthened their resolve, and the Revolutionary Guards cautioned civilians in Gulf nations to avoid areas near U.S. military positions. The escalating conflict has stoked global inflation and prompted the House to pass a resolution directing Trump to halt military action, though similar measures have previously failed to change policy.
