Narendra Modi says India's defense sector is "constantly reaching new heights"

During the 136th installment of his monthly radio program Mann Ki Baat, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed recent achievements in the country’s defense sector, pointing to successful trials of the Pinaka and Kusha missiles, the commissioning of the indigenous stealth frigate INS Mahendragiri, and a signed export pact with Indonesia for BrahMos and Astra missiles. He asserted that India’s domestic weapons production, overseas sales, and partnerships with friendly nations are progressing. These remarks follow a string of defense milestones this month, including the frigate’s induction into the Eastern Fleet at Visakhapatnam and two missile tests carried out by the Defence Research and Development Organisation.
